Mixed Prints

Although I find it somewhat daring, I love the concept of mixed prints.  Seeing all of the floral-print pants with fun tops this spring inspired me to try mixing some patterns for fall.  I recently wore my favorite fall jacket with some leopard-print accents.  When I want to attempt a new trend, I usually start small but this is a style I want keep experimenting with.  How do you mix prints?

Chanel + Pink

Although I'd like to think that I don't have one definitive style, I often lean towards girly colors and pieces.  There's pretty much nothing more girly than the color pink and basically anything Chanel; below are a few photos of a newly acquired Chanel wallet and some of my favorite shades of pink nail polish - along with pink peonies and a DELICIOUS strawberry rose water donut from Destination Donuts!  Sometimes, all things girly is just what I need to brighten up my day...especially a Monday :)

Fashion + Philanthropy Friday

Happy Friday! Catbird NYC

I love Catbird NYC rings so much, I'm pretty sure I've dreamed about them.  Catbird has the best modern selection of jewelry, and their rings in particular are my favorite.  Below are some of the rings on their site that I wish would just appear in my jewelry box - how stunning is the emerald!?

Mellow Yellow

 When I think of fall and winter apparel, I think of black and deep grey hues, and not so much cheery, bright colors.  But why not try something different?  I wore this light jacket during spring, but plan on incorporating it into my fall wardrobe.  A little burst of color never hurt! :)

Five Shades of Red

Although I love pretty much every nail color out there, I am a firm believer that classic red is always in style, no matter the season.  My go-to red shade of nail polish has been OPI's "Big Apple Red", but I am in the market for a new one and am open to trying a new hue.  Below are a few shades of red nail color that I have my eye on - have you ever tried any of these colors and/or brands?  What is your go-to red?

Fashion + Philanthropy Friday

Happy Friday! This week's Fashion + Philanthropy item is a pair of glasses from one of my favorite companies - 141 {here}! I have owned a pair of their glasses for almost 2 years now, and I LOVE them! Not only are their glasses totally nerdy chic, they also provide a pair of prescription glasses to a person in need with each pair purchased.  If you are in the market for prescription glasses, I would DEFINITELY recommend a pair of 141! 

CMH Fashion Week 2013: Finale Show

Well, this year CMH Fashion Week has truly outdone themselves and put on an incredible show that will be remembered and talked about for quite some time!
