Friday, I'm In Love: First Christmas Engaged

Happy Friday! I can't believe Christmas is getting so close; thankfully we have finished all of our Christmas shopping, and put up our decorations so we can just relax and enjoy the season :) And enjoy our first Christmas being engaged! This is a Christmas ornament at my parents' house, and it is from when they were married - 35 years ago! I cannot wait to collect meaningful ornaments like this over the year together. Engaged

So I have a little announcement...we're engaged! He asked me one week before Thanksgiving, and it was all pretty perfect. The proposal was so special {even if I was basically in my pajamas, with no make-up on, unwashed hair, and UNPAINTED NAILS}, and the ring is everything I could have ever wanted {Antique? Check. Yellow gold? Check. Family heirloom? Check!}. Also, our cat, Ezra, was there so we had a nice family hug once I stopped crying :) Best of all, and most important of all, I get to marry my favorite person in the world! I can't believe the best person I know asked me to spend my life with him. I love you, Tay! Let's get this party started :)

Friday, I'm In Love: The Christmas Spirit

Happy Friday! Well, December is in full swing and I guess it's time to finish decorating, get our Christmas tree, and officially get into the Christmas spirit. And that's exactly what I plan to do this weekend: touch up our place with little details, decorate our {cat friendly} tree, burn a balsam-scented candle, and watch plenty of Christmas movies.
