Monday Cocktail

I recently mentioned {here} that I want to try to use our bar cart, and everything on it, more often and try new cocktails. I recently whipped up something really simple and refreshing that is perfect for summer {or if you just want something light}: mint leaf simple syrup, vodka, and a splash of champagne. Bonfire Nights

The other morning I woke up and stepped on our back porch - and it was CHILLY! It made me so excited for fall {the BEST time of year}, but also for the end of summer weather in which it's the perfect time for a bonfire. 1820 House Candle

I discovered 1820 House Candles while I was living in Columbus, and when I recently needed a new candle I decided to finally give it a try. I went for the Whiskey & Pear scent {shop candle here}, and it is AWESOME! I trying not to use it up before September/fall come around because it is perfect for less-than-warm weather. 1820 House Candle was born in a historic {and gorgeous} farm house in Ohio, and their candles are unique and smell amazing {shop all here}. This will be the first of many 1820 House Candle purchases :)

Romper Love

I love rompers and jumpsuits, and all of the different ways they can be styled. I know they are more popular in the summer, but I love the idea of wearing a great romper {like below} in the fall paired with a great blazer or leather jacket. I think I might grab a couple on sale for the end of summer, and then incorporate them into my fall wardrobe...starting with this one!

Friday, I'm In Love: Cocktail Hour

I posted about our bar cart {here} this week, and recently I have been making more of an effort to actually use it - and make cocktails! I love to cook, so using skill and creativity from the kitchen is really fun for me {especially using fresh herbs from our herb garden}. This week felt extra long and overwhelming, so I cannot wait to come home and make a cocktail to celebrate the weekend :) Happy Friday!

Gold Bar Cart

I had been wanting a bar cart {specifically gold} for quite a while. I scoured discount and vintage stores, but could not find anything I wanted. I new Target would have something, so I finally went there and bought the bar cart I was looking for {buy here}. It fits in our main room perfectly, and I've had a lot of fun styling it. I've had to make some concessions with what I've chosen to put on it {I suppose I owe it to my roommate who does not love the gold bar cart as much as I do..}, so I've already changed it up since I took these photos. Farmer's Market Saturdays

Friday, I'm In Love: Sullivan's Island Shrimp Bog

I mentioned in my post this past Wednesday {here} that I LOVE to spend a Friday or Saturday evening cooking a homemade meal in the kitchen. We have a few favorites, but I love trying out new recipes. I discovered a recipe for Sullivan's Island Shrimp Bog a few months ago, and made it one Friday night; not only was it delicious, but it was meaningful because of our trip to Sullivan's Island back in March {here}. Cheers to a weekend filled with homemade meals :)

Sweet + Edgy

Classic Leather Bag

Happy Monday! And more specifically, Mani Monday. This recent collaboration of Olivia Palermo and Ciaté nail polish has got me VERY tempted to buy some new nail polish! Friday, I'm In Love: Date Night

Happy Friday! Although I am feeling pretty exhausted from this week, I am looking forward to a fun date night with the boy. Drinks and a screening of Casablanca at an old movie theatre downtown? Sounds like the perfect Friday to me :) Have a great weekend!

Summer Entertaining

I love any excuse to make a aperitivo/a cheese and meat plate/finger food - even if it's just for the two of us at home! I think the best foods for this kind of dining can be made during the summer; local veggies and fresh herbs make all the difference. We put this together last summer with some friends, and I want to recreate this soon...as in this week :) {similar Giada recipe here}

NYFW: Acne Studios Spring 2015

Although I am already scoping out fall fashion shows for fall inspiration, I also looked back on one of my favorite shows from Spring 2015 - Acne Studios.
