I know I've mentioned before how much I love magnolia trees, and when their flowers start to bloom it makes them even more beautiful. We have one on our street with some low hanging branches, so I recently snagged one of the flowers {oops}. It did not last long, but it was so pretty to have just for a day or two. I think I will stick to peonies for our place, and just get a magnolia-scented candle :)

Baking
I have always been intimidated by baking. Following a recipe exactly is not usually my thing, and spending all of that time to make something sweet and not particularly healthy never seemed worth my while. I have decided a new goal for myself should be to overcome my "fear" of baking, and to try to get quite good at it. Yesterday, I attempted Julia Child's pie crust recipe {here}, along with this Georgia peach pie recipe {Georgia peaches are in and are DELICIOUS!}, and it turned out great! With a scoop of vanilla bean gelato and enjoyed on these Anthropologie dessrt plates {here}, it was the perfect Sunday treat. Any recommendations for my next baking adventure?

Friday, I'm In Love: Rosé
Happy Friday! After a long week, I can't wait for cooking at home, a little trip to Atlanta to try on a very important dress, and hopefully lots of rosé and cheese. Cheers to the weekend!

Wedding Inspiration: Pumpkins, Dahlias, and All Things Fall
I am so excited to be getting married in the fall, the best time of the year! I found the perfect wedding inspiration on Green Wedding Shoes for our big day: lots of autumn-appropriate blush hues, dahlias {they will be in season!}, and the tiniest hint of mini pumpkins. The trick is pulling this look off, and making it all come together. Cheers to trying! :)

White
I love all things white when it comes to decor, and white flowers are the perfect, fresh addition. I found white peonies at the grocery store recently, and I just had to get them. The look of these are actually just what I am looking for in a wedding bouquet; it's just too bad I am not getting married during peony season :)

Wedding Inspiration: Jewelry
We are now at the point in wedding planning that we are focusing on the little details {yay!}, and one of those includes jewelry for the big day. I am all done with accessories that I will wear {including shoes!}, and the jewelry that I found makes me so excited! I wanted something art-deco style, and something that I would wear for years to come. Lulu Frost makes the most beautiful jewelry that was everything I wanted to wear as a bride. Below are some pieces that I think would look gorgeous on anyone on their wedding day {shop all Lulu Frost jewelry here}:

Friday, I'm In Love: Little Garden
Happy Friday! We brought home a couple of tomato plants and a hot pepper plant back in May, and now we are seeing some tomatoes bloom! My favorite thing about summer is fresh fruit and veggies, and it makes it even more special when they come from our own little garden..no matter how small and amateur :) Have a great weekend!

Wedding Planning: The Dress Search
I actually first knew what dress I wanted back in December; I saw a picture of it on Pinterest, and thought, "that's the one." Of course, I had to try it on before I knew it would be my dress, but needless to say, when I did try it on the search was over. That being said, I wanted to know for sure by trying on all different types of wedding dresses. One dress/brand that almost made me reconsider "my dress", was one by designer Sarah Janks {check out here}. While trying on dresses, the woman helping us suggest a Sarah Janks dress with two layers, an ivory slip with a vintage-tinted lace overlay. I was skeptical at first, but it was absolutely beautiful - I almost chose it! Below are some favorites by Sarah Janks, who I would highly recommend:

Wedding Planning: Wedding Party
We really considered not having a wedding party; we wanted to keep it simple, and thought it would be too hard to choose. But we soon realized it would be too hard not to have best friends stand with us on our most important day! I asked my closest friends to be in our wedding with champagne, a great scented candle, and nail polish {of course}. I found this great card on Etsy {here} to ask my Maid of Honor, and this card to ask my bridesmaids. Waiting for my friends' packages to arrive and to hear their reactions was the best! I can't wait to spend our wedding day with them sipping champagne, probably shedding a few tears {of happiness!}, and laughing. Lots and lots of laughing :)
