Faux Fur

I had been on the hunt for a faux fur vest for a while, but didn't want to spend a small fortune. I found this one back in the fall and it has become a staple in my fall/winter wardrobe {it's perfect for cool, sunny days in Georgia!} As much as I love this one, I wouldn't mind having one in black either - any suggestions on where to find one at a reasonable price?

Loving It

I've never been one to label myself as either homebody, or someone who loves to go out; I thoroughly enjoy both, and have a few items that suit either a night at home on the couch, or out for dinner or drinks. Below are my current favorites for either: a great candle and face mask for a night in, and fab accessories and bright lipstick for a night out :) {PS Columbus - Candle with a Cause is now sold at Whole Foods in Dublin! Be sure to check it out}

Mani Monday

Happy Monday - Mani Monday to be exact! My nail polish collection is so extensive it is borderline shameful, but I still love to try new nail polish brands. Below are a few I have recently discovered and read great reviews, and I think I might need to try these: Smith & Cult's "Feed the Rich" {here}, Nails Inc Victoria Victoria Beckham's "Bamboo White" {here}, and Lauren B. Beauty's "City of Angels" {here}. Have you ever tried these brands, and if so, what's the verdict?

Floral for Winter

Winter isn't a time where one typically thinks of wearing florals, but I love unexpected items for anytime of year and this sweatshirt is perfect for that. With a faux leather skirt and neutral accessories, this sweatshirt would be one of my go-to winter pieces!

Raise {a whole lotta} Hell

Although I am always looking for new style inspiration and checking out new trends, I TRY to go for practical pieces that will last me a few seasons {or forever}. Below are a few items that I would not mind splurging on because I think they are pretty classic: a GREAT leather bag, diamond studs, a simple blouse that goes with anything, fab sunglasses, and ankle boots. I have been trying to make smarter purchases, and these items would be a great example of that. Also, I've been having a lot of fun trying to decorate our apartment on a budget, and I've discovered so many awesome prints on Etsy that are great additions! {StripedCat Studio print via Etsy here}

Morning Light

I love winter mornings, especially when they involve coffee, clean sheets, and knit sweaters and/or a blanket! I LOVE my new LC Lauren Conrad sheets from Kohl's {buy here}, and this comfy TOMS x Target blanket is the perfect compliment {can you tell I love neutrals?}; and this large print leopard sweater I got from Anthropologie last year is my favorite sweater. Where do you buy your blankets/throws/sweaters?

Winter Chic

Just because it's dead of winter, doesn't mean you can't be inspired by flowers, pastels, and basically anything that is the opposite of winter; these are a few of my favorite items at the moment that are keeping me happy this winter {image via This Is Glamorous}:

Card Case

I realize I post mostly about things I want, but this one is different: I seriously need a card case in my life! When I am out and using a small clutch, I typically opt for a paper clip to hold my money, I.D., and credit cards and I realize this is not ideal {or safe for my belongings!} I've compiled some potential card cases to solve my problem {PS, I will be out of town for work and taking a few days off - will be back Monday with more posts!}:

Style Inspiration

I've mentioned before {here} that in the colder months I like to wear fun, bright colors and patterns to make up for the dreary weather. Below is my current style inspiration {image via Who What Wear}: a GREAT coat, patterned skirt, and chic clutch. I only wish that coat could magically appear in my closet...

I love starting off a new year thinking of and planning all of the places I will travel that year; I am hoping that by living in an unfamiliar area of the country that I will have the ability to explore new, exciting cities!  Where do you want to travel in 2015? {Rifle Paper Co. calendar here}

Initial

Remember, about 10 years ago, when having the initial of your first name {on basically everything} became popular? Most of these necklaces/handbags/T-shirts were quite tacky, but I do like having an item or two that represents my name in a more subtle way. I recently bought a Jennie Kwon Designs ring as a little Christmas present to myself, and had my first initial engraved; it's not loud or austentatious, and is the perfect way to include my initial. Also, the infamous coffee mug from Anthropologie {another minor Christmas gift to myself} is a must-have if you're looking for something monogrammed :)

January

I deal with the post-holiday blues two different ways: getting dolled up in bright, fun colors when I go out and/or hibernate with comfy clothes, a good candle, and wine. Although it doesn't get too cold in Georgia, I love the idea of Netflix, a warm sweater, and WINE {especially Redi!}. How darling are those leggings!?
