This is the last official month of summer, even though it will probably be quite hot here until November arrives. I am SO excited for fall and cooler weather to arrive, but not before enjoying the last of summer. Here are some items that I would love to wear/get my hands on before summer ends:

It is HOT down here. So much so that it makes me wish for cooler, fall nights immediately. That being said, there are a few good things about the dog days of summer, which include lots of hydrangeas, summer fashion {sundresses and hats, duh!}, summer hued nails, and light scented candles that smell just like summer {image via This Is Glamorous}:

This summer has just started and has already been pretty awesome. Below are some items that I am currently loving for the month of June: off-the-shoulder dresses, fun summer patters, the perfect bag for a weekend getaway, and a summer-appropriate candle {image via My Domaine}. Cheers to summer!

I've posted before about how I love Olivia Palermo's style {see here}, and one trend that I think she does perfectly is the concept of mixed, even mismatched, prints. She somehow makes even the most unlikely patterns look so chic together. I want to try to be more adventurous with this trend, and below is a way I would love to try it out:

BaubleBar earrings {here}
NARS x Steven Klein nail polish in "Black Fire" {here}
Jessica Jensen envelope clutch {here}
Tory Burch open toed booties {here} <--- on sale!
I love rompers and jumpsuits, and all of the different ways they can be styled. I know they are more popular in the summer, but I love the idea of wearing a great romper {like below} in the fall paired with a great blazer or leather jacket. I think I might grab a couple on sale for the end of summer, and then incorporate them into my fall wardrobe...starting with this one!

Ten Over Ten nail polish in "O29 Grand" {here}
Club Monaco clutch {here}
bareMinerals eyeshadow in "Queen Tiffany" via Sephora {here}
Illesteva sunglasses via Barney's {here}

The best thing about a little black dress is how versatile it can be; I normally gravitate towards shades of blue or green, but I love how red pairs with an LBD and neutral make-up. And I am dying to get my hands on that gorgeous LV bag! :)

When I think of spring and summer fashion, I am often influenced by preppy, Ralph Lauren-esque style. It's classic, and makes me want to take a summer vacay to the east coast! Below is my ideal preppy ensemble for spring - how gorgeous is that shirt!?

I, like most women, despise the phrase "bathing suit season" because it often brings about serious anxiety; after hibernating during the winter months with lots of wine and carbohydrates, the last thing I want to think about doing is getting in a bathing suit. I've kicked up my workouts recently, and as a result I've been thinking about buying a new bathing suit {cannot remember that last time I bought one!}. Below are a few current favorites, I think I'm leaning towards a blue one...

I wasn't really in the market for a blazer, but I recently bought a new one at Banana Republic that was on major sale and I am SO glad that I did. I absolutely love it and plan on wearing it all through spring. It adds something tailored and classic to any ordinary outfit, and it could really go with anything. I want to recreate this casual outfit below:

As much as I love heels {I hope I am still wearing them when I'm 80!}, I've recently become interested in investing in a fancy pair of flats; they can go with anything and be appropriate for work and a night out. These are some of my current favorites:

2. Rupert Sanderson flats {here}
3. Tory Burch flats via Neiman Marcus {here}
4. Miu Miu flats via Saks Fifth Avenue {here}
5. Chiara Ferragni Collection flats {here}
I realize I post mostly about things I want, but this one is different: I seriously need a card case in my life! When I am out and using a small clutch, I typically opt for a paper clip to hold my money, I.D., and credit cards and I realize this is not ideal {or safe for my belongings!} I've compiled some potential card cases to solve my problem {PS, I will be out of town for work and taking a few days off - will be back Monday with more posts!}:

Below are some gift ideas that give back; I LOVE that wood and gold tray, and that bubbly would be so perfect for New Year's Eve! The best part of all is that each of these items gives back to various organizations that make this world a better place :)

Last year I made an extensive post with SO many items on my Christmas wish list, so this year I wanted to condense it a little; I still have quite a few items on it {and of course there are more things I would love but didn't have room!}, but this year I really do not care what I get since I am just so excited to be spending it with so many people I love! It's called "wish list" for a reason, so I don't expect to get anything on here, but below are some items that currently have my eye:

I used to wear hats ALL of the time growing up, and I sort of fell out of the habit {looking back, it was probably a good decision considering some of them were not cute at all}; in the last few years, however, I've been trying to add more to my closet. Below are some knit hats that are so cute for winter, and would make a great gift this holiday season {I especially love #s 1, 4, and 5!}:

When it comes to fall fashion, I feel that most people think of dark colors and lots of black leather. Although I love those things, I think it is also fun to try something unexpected like pastels and florals. Below are a few items that I would love to rock this fall:

2. Haute Hippie skirt via Far Fetch {here}
3. Ray-Ban cat eye sunglasses via Saks {here}
4. Smashbox 'Full Exposure' eye shadow palette via Nordstrom {here}

I've mentioned recently that I read quite a few blogs for daily inspiration {here}, and one of my favorites is Late Afternoon {check out here}. Her style is AMAZING and I only wish I could pull off some of the outfits she does; also, her flower arranging skills could make any girl jealous, and her home decor style really inspires me as well. Below is a photograph from her blog along with an outfit inspired by it - love that it's almost spring!
