Fashion + Philanthropy Friday

Happy Friday! This week's item is one I own and love - FEED's 1000 clutch collaboration with Judith Leiber {buy here}.  Judith Leiber is a legend in the world of accessories, and this collaboration with FEED is such a glamorous way to give back to those in need; the purchase of this bag ensures 1,000 schools meals for children in need.  This bag is the perfect accessory for a night out, and I love what it represents!

Peter Pilotto x Target

Target has done it again - another beautiful collaboration with an amazing designer! Peter Pilotto is an incredibly talented designer known for bold prints and chic shapes, and I CANNOT wait until it comes out officially on February 9th.  Below are my favorite pieces from the collection {which will also be available on Net-A-Porter's site}.  I don't think it's coincidence that this arrives right before Valentine's Day, do you? ;) {All images via Refinery 29 here}

Winter Skin Savers

This winter has been especially brutal, but I have acquired a few beauty products that have been life savers during the cold months.  Once a week, I use Origin's "Clear Improvement Active Charcoal" face mask {here} for a little pick-me-up and to help even my skin tone, and each night I use Estee Lauder's "Advanced Night Repair Eye" serum {here} that protects that thin skin under the eyes.  For moisturizing, I alternate between Josie Maran Argan Oil {here} at night {it has literally transformed my skin this winter!} and bareMinerals "Skin Rev-er Upper" {here} which I use before applying make-up for the day or night.  Winter can be rough on the skin, but these products keep mine looking and feeling rejuvenated.  What skincare products do you prefer in the winter?

Italian shoes via TJ Maxx

TJ Maxx is one of my go-to stores when I'm looking for something one of a kind and at an affordable price.  A few years ago, I found these great Italian shoes by Latitude Femme that were a total steal considering the original price, and loved how they weren't like anything else you could find in the stores.  I'm a big fan of the neutral colors that are incorporated, and they always add something special to any outfit I am wearing.  {Side note: the vase the mini roses are in are from a recycled candle container from Lotta Jansdotter, a designer of prints that offers the most wonderful candles! Fashion + Philanthropy Friday

Happy Fashion + Philanthropy Friday! I've always been so impressed with the Tory Burch Foundation and its brand in general, and I love how all profits from these darling agendas go directly to the Tory Burch Foundation {buy here}.  The Foundation provides funding for small business loans, mentoring programs, and entrepreneurial education for women entrepreneurs in the U.S. in order to empower them and their families.  This agenda is the perfect way to start the new year organized, while helping women achieve their dreams :)

Winter Inspiration

I've noticed that recently a lot of bloggers have been creating "mood boards" for inspiration, and I really love that idea - especially during the cold, grey months of winter.  Below are some items that inspire me this winter: brights, sequins, and a GREAT candle {always!}  Also, that Kate Spade clutch makes me want to plan a winter escape, and those K/ller Collection earrings and Anthropologie hat I would wear for all seasons!

Snow Ready

Although the snow and cold has been crazy lately, I feel quite prepared with these cute handmade knits I got for Christmas.  I've been living in these gloves, scarf, and headband, and love that since they are homemade, they're very unique.  Now I just need to learn to knit so I can make these in every color for myself :)

Vintage Inspired

I love vintage-inspired clothes, especially for winter when it's so easy to wear something warm and comfortable instead of polished and chic.  Below are some of the perfect vintage-inspired clothes and accessories that I would totally wear all winter long:

Steals + Deals

Happy Monday! I found a few pieces this month that are on sale and I would LOVE to snag!  The Tory Burch dress is just gorgeous, and would be so perfect for a special occasion, and I love how the Stella & Dot bracelet would add the right amount of color to any outfit.  The Tibi blazer is what I really have my eyes on {what a DEAL!}, I could use a colored blazer in my wardrobe; I have recently fallen in love with Freda Salvador shoes, and these would be perfect with a pair of skinnys on the weekend - they are so tempting!

Fashion + Philanthropy Friday

Happy Friday! So, although candles don't really count as a "fashion" item, I do have a slight obsession with them and consider them a luxury item {a luxury I will never give up!}  Candle with a Cause is a Columbus business that takes recycled bottles from local restaurants and makes beautiful candles that each give back to a specific local charity.  Their candles are wonderful, and I've even had personal wine bottles made into candles to give as gifts and they turned out amazing! I cannot think of a better way to support a local business while giving back to so many great causes.

10 Crosby Derek Lam: Spring 2014

I love NYFW and I often look back at looks from previous runway shows for style inspiration.  The Spring 14' show from 10 Crosby Derek Lam was one of my recent favorites, and it makes me very excited for warmer weather.  Maybe it's a little too early to start posting about spring fashion, but hey, a girl can dream.  {All photos via Style.com here}

Tiniest Diamond

On my recent trip to NYC, I stopped in Catbird NYC {a.k.a., mecca} and found the PERFECT little ring with the tiniest white diamond {by Satomi Kawakita - buy here}.  I had been on the hunt for a new gold ring, and I knew I would be able to find one {or multiple!} at Catbird.  I probably mentally spent about $1 million in that store; they seriously have the best jewelry and home gifts {including candles!}, and I would HIGHLY recommend going to Catbird if you are ever in New York.  Also, at the Brooklyn Flea, I found the cutest little round dish by SKT Ceramics {here} to keep my new ring in.  All in all, I'd say it was a successful trip to Brooklyn :)
