Fashion + Philanthropy Friday

Happy Friday!  This week's Fashion + Philanthropy item is from the Liberty United x Pamela Love collaboration {here}.  This stunning cuff is made from recycled illegal brass guns, and a cut of turquoise.  20% of the profits from this piece will help fund programs in communities that work to end gun violence.  Fighting crime seriously never looked so chic!

Williamsburg

I recently went on a holiday vacation to New York City with my family, and spent one morning and afternoon in Williamsburg.  I had taken the trek to Brooklyn before, but this was my first time in this darling neighborhood and I LOVED it!  My Mom and I had a delicious breakfast at Egg, shopped around the infamous Brooklyn Flea, and then checked out Mociun and Catbird NYC - two must-see jewelry stores in Williamsburg!  It was pretty chilly, so I bundled up in some new Christmas goodies and went with the quintessential NYC look - all black everything.

Winter Uniform

I actually love winter fashion, and below is my idea of the perfect winter uniform - comfy knit sweater, chic ankle boots, fun gloves, and a great crossbody bag.  Also, I've been really into gold jewelry lately, particularly rings, and LOVE the options that K/ller Collection offers.  And how perfect are those sunglasses? Brights

January can be a pretty depressing month; the excitement of the holidays is over, and it's typically cold and grey outside.  I always try to remedy this feeling by wearing lots of bright colors during January.  Below are a few items that I have acquired that I plan on wearing for the next month to keep me happy and inspired!

Fashion + Philanthropy Friday

Happy first Friday of 2014!  This week's Fashion + Philanthropy item is the Wild Horse eye shadow and blush palette from Chantecaille {via Nordstrom here}.  The purchase of this product will provide 5% of its proceeds to the Humane Society of the United States to support their efforts in saving wild horses.  I absolutely LOVE Chantecaille beauty products, and I love even more that they give back to an organization that they feel passionate about :)
