Happy Pride

After a terrible tragedy occurs, it always feels wrong to post anything about other than what happened. It doesn't feel right talking about wedding planning or summer fashion when the worst mass shooting in U.S. history happened yesterday. It's hard to wrap your head around what happened, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed with sadness, anger, and fear. But this is Pride Month, and I don't think hatred or bigotry should ever steal the joy or pride from the LGBT community. Now more than ever, I hope the LGBT community and its allies can feel pride in who they are and all of the wonderful milestones they've accomplished. For many, this is the first Pride Month since marriage equality became the law of the land - now THAT is something to celebrate! Be loud, be proud, and love conquers hate. Always.
